Velama sub divisions
All the divisions are based on their original living location. Major divisions in Andhra Pradesh are * Adi Velama * Koppula Velama * Padma Velama * Polinati Velama
Hi adiveleam Relatives and Friends there is one more Velama which is Vellapu velama(yellapu velama) these cast existed in north Tealangana and north andra. This community customers mostly similar to Padma velama.IN 6th century they migrated from north India to south crossing through vindya pravathalu. Still they are treating kshatriyas in North India basically they are the suryvamsha kshatriya, and in the mediaeval they are known polavasa kings before Rastra kutas. Later on they fall down their glory in time being and went to nomadic situations and migrated mostly in to coastal kapunaidu and telangana padama velama. But their rituals are similar to padama velama but padama velamas don't wish to mingle with any other velama even koppu, adi velamas. So we need to come together to bring our glory back because Reddy's are very clever they brought all kapus together and they emerged one umbrella as Reddys. As per my Knowledge they are near about 50 kapus are treating as like Reddy so it became easy to gain political benfits. So guys please think about and let us look forward by considering and accepting other velams into one group thank you.
